[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]As we continue to journey in the footsteps of Christ this week, here are a few more resources to help you explore and experience Holy Week. Keep checking back each day of Holy Week as we’ll be unpacking over the next few days what Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday have meant in the history of the church.

Holy Week is a time to appropriately mourn before the celebration of Easter – I can find it so difficult to face into the reality of what Christ went through during Holy Week – it can be so much easier to rush to the celebration of Easter Sunday and bypass the journey of Christ to the cross! But even though it isn’t easy, I feel how important and necessary it is to worship Christ through both my mourning and celebration. May you find strength and courage to press into the difficult but worthy invitations of Holy Week.

Grace and Peace to you!

Lectionary Readings from the Revised Common Lectionary by The Transforming Center

We’ve been exploring and using readings from the lectionary throughout our liturgies and services over the past months. Check out this helpful guide provided by The Transforming Center – The lectionary readings for each week include an Old Testament reading, a Psalm, an Epistle and a Gospel that share a common theme. Following the lectionary helps us pray and engage Scripture together even when we are apart. We encourage you to especially enjoy and follow the readings of Holy Week!
